It has been weeks after setup of Raspberry PI 400 mini computer, inside the parcel it comes with a book – title: The Official Raspberry PI Beginner’s Guide by Gareth Halfacree. In this book, it has couple of topics that might interest you, however, I will do a review on one of book chapter – Programming with Scratch 3.
Chapter 4: Programming with Scratch 3
Raspberry PI OS comes with 3 versions of Scratch – 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0. Note Raspberry PI 4 will only runs for Scratch 3.0.
- Scratch 3.0 load in Raspberry PI OS is same as other Scratch in different OS, the looks is similar and no much difference.
- The first part of the chapter is introduce readers on Scratch 3.0 usage and get started with Scratch. It runs through a couple of programming features and example usage.
- The first project to work on is “Hello World”.
- Next, it works of 3 projects and guide through with readers.
In all the project, it has a lot beginner project with some guidance in Raspberry PI project web page.
Let try to work on project one of the archery game project by remixing the image from the raspberry PI’s Scratch game project. Here is the code for the Archery project that is completed.
